Sleeps 4 - Stonegarth is a traditional cottage in the heart of old Staithes which is perfect for couples and families alike. It is a much loved second home that has a traditional feel but with up to date facilities such as a modern house bathroom and ground floor cloakroom. The cottage has a mixture of underfloor heating and storage heaters plus the multifuel stove in the lounge powers back up radiators when it is in use. We provide a complimentary initial supply of logs and kindling October to April inclusive. Free Wi-Fi access. The internal staircase is steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues plus there is some restricted head height on the second floor. This is the perfect retreat for holidays at all times of the year. Stonegarth is set in a quiet location just off the High Street and is a short walk to the local shops, pubs and restaurants. Short term parking is available for unloading and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage. We provide one parking permit when charges apply March to October inclusive.
Ground Floor – cosy lounge with two sofas, original beams, exposed stonework, multifuel stove and underfloor heating; TV/DVD and CD player/radio. Steps lead up to the cloakroom and large kitchen/diner with dining table seating 6 people. The kitchen has oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave
First Floor – bedroom 1: double bedroom with original beams and stripped floor boards, chest of drawers and hanging space. The bathroom has full sized bath and electric shower, sink, toilet, underfloor heating and heated towel rail.
Second Floor – bedroom 2: great attic bedroom with 2 single beds, built in wardrobe/storage area, stripped floorboards and panoramic views across the rooftops towards Cowbar Nab
Outside – there is a shared yard (not self-contained) to the front of the cottage with a bench provided for use by guests.
